Mother’s Day at the Opera – Saturday, May 7


On Saturday, May 7 at 2:30pm at Trinity Baptist Church (2130 E. University Dr., Mesa), Symphony of the Southwest will present “Mother’s Day at the Opera,” their final concert of the 2010-2011 season.  Bring Mom and the whole family to an afternoon of operatic selections guaranteed to lift you out of your seat!


Program:

Glinka – Ruslan and Ludmilla Overture
Tchaikovsky – Polonaise and Waltz from “Eugene Onegin”
Rimsky-Korsakov: Flight of the Bumblebee
Weinberger – Polka and Fugue from “Shvanda”
Rossini- William Tell Overture
Verdi – March and Ballet: from “Aida”
Bizet – Carmen Suite no. 2


Tickets are only $19, and can be purchased by calling the Symphony office at 480-827-2143 or by emailing us at symphonyofthesouthwest@gmail.com.  Group and school discounts are also available – call us or email us for more information. Tickets will also be available at the door.
